Challenge

Ascend to the rugged peaks of mountain trails. The path is steep and the air thin, but the views are breathtaking. Your task is to simulate these mountain trails or create an informational guide about famous mountains. Whether it's the legendary Mount Everest or the scenic Rockies, your project should reflect the majesty and challenge of these towering giants.

Challenge Overview & Rules

Your project should focus on simulating mountain trails or providing an informational guide about famous mountains.

Submission Format

Ensure your submission meets the following criteria based on your discipline:

Software Engineering: You may use any web technologies or programming languages you are comfortable with, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, or any frameworks you prefer. Please also include:

  • A public link to your project.
  • A screenshot of your project.
  • A brief description (150-200 words) explaining your project's concept and how it embodies the theme. Make sure to mention the technologies you used and any notable features or challenges you encountered during the development.

Data & AI: You may use any tools or software you are comfortable with, such as D3.js, Tableau, Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn), R (ggplot2), or any other data visualization libraries and frameworks. Please also include:

  • A public link to your project.
  • A screenshot of your project.
  • A brief description (150-200 words) explaining your project's concept and how it embodies the theme. Make sure to mention the technologies you used and any notable features or challenges you encountered during the development.

Product Design: You may use any tools or software you are comfortable with, such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or any other design tools and platforms. Also, be sure to include:

  • A public link to your project.
  • A screenshot of your project.
  • A brief description (150-200 words) explaining your project's concept and how it embodies the theme. Make sure to mention the technologies you used and any notable features or challenges you encountered during the development.

Game Development & Design: You may use any tools or software you prefer, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, or any other game development platforms and frameworks. Also, be sure to include:

  • A public link to your project.
  • A screenshot of your project.
  • A brief description (150-200 words) explaining your project's concept and how it embodies the theme. Make sure to mention the technologies you used and any notable features or challenges you encountered during the development.

Visual Arts: You may use any tools or software you prefer, such as Adobe software, Toon Boom, or any other platform to create concept art, 2D animation, 3D animation, or a similar format. Also, be sure to include:

  • A public link to your project.
  • A screenshot of your project.
  • A brief description (150-200 words) explaining your project's concept and how it embodies the theme. Make sure to mention the technologies you used and any notable features or challenges you encountered during the development.

Submission Guidelines

  • Deadline: Submit your project by August 30.
  • How to Submit:
    • Complete our Contest Entry Form to submit your project.
    • Ensure your project includes the required screenshot and description as specified above.

Judging Criteria

Your submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Creativity: Originality and inventiveness in visualizing mountain trails or providing mountain information.
  • Relevance to Theme: How well the project aligns with the concept of mountain trails.
  • Clarity of Concept: Effectiveness in communicating the idea and purpose of the project.
