Description

World Central Kitchen, Inc. (WCK) seeks a talented team member to serve as Associate, Data Quality Analyst. The Associate, Data Quality Analyst will be part of the Data Team supporting the Relief Operations team track and manage data pertaining to WCK operations. This will include supporting the processes and systems used in operations. This role will also act as primary support and contact for the data creators to promote, implement, and improve data quality methodologies and to raise data quality and performance levels.

This role requires a sincere commitment to WCK’s mission, occasional work during nights, holidays, and weekends, and the flexibility to multitask in a fast-paced and innovative environment while meeting tight deadlines and adapting as needed to the topic and scope of the project at hand.

This role is intended to be a full-time hybrid exempt position, based in Washington, DC, with 2-3 days on-site per week. This role requires regular travel, including international travel with limited notice.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for understanding data quality standards and providing on- and off-activation training on critical data-entry rules and controls.
  • Provides continuous support for data-entry and monitoring processes both on the ground and remotely, depending on the activation needs.
  • Identifies problems and investigate root causes to remediate data anomalies and ensure data integrity.
  • Leverages data profiles and health checks to review and support trust in data assets.
  • Tracks and documents lineage of multiple data sources.
  • Maintains active communication with data creators and other team members to ensure that data quality frameworks are being implemented.
  • Assigns and monitors resolution of data quality defects.
  • Develops and maintains artifacts such as data collection plans and rules, glossaries, and defects.
  • Liaises between data creators and the Data and Technology team to gather feedback, improve systems and inform the data/technology roadmap.
Requirements
  • 1 to 2 years experience working with data in an analytic, quality and/or development capacity or equivalent college degree.  
  • Operate pro-actively and independently, and respond quickly to changing measures of success.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines in high pressure situations.
  • Ability to travel for in-person office meetings and to activation sites. Provide support to activations both on the ground and remotely.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must have a valid passport for international travel. 

Preferred Candidates will also be proficient in Spanish or Arabic (written and verbal) and have prior volunteer experience, including:

  • 2 to 3 years experience working with data in an analytic, quality and/or development capacity.  
  • Previous experience with Airtable.
  • Exposure to Data Governance and Data Quality delivery.
  • Familiarity with data dictionaries, lineage, and data quality tools.
  • Experience with the following technologies: Tableau, SQL, Javascript, Python, QGIS/ArcGIS, Mapbox

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 USD
