Position Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to lead the development and enhancement of Endolith’s data infrastructure. This role will focus on building scalable tools for sample tracking, data integration, and real-time data analysis to support our scientific and operational goals. You will collaborate closely with our engineering, bioinformatics, and data science teams, working on-site at our Arvada, CO scale-up lab to expand our capabilities and enhance efficiency.

This role may lead to a full-time position if there is a mutual fit and interest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable inventory and sample tracking systems for laboratory and bulk materials.
  • Integrate unique sample identification (UUIDs/QR codes) for reliable tracking and metadata capture.
  • Enhance data normalization and transformation within our SQL database structure for seamless integration with our React-based front-end.
  • Collaborate with scientists and bioinformaticians to design APIs for real-time data integration and transformation.
  • Regularly update and document technical progress, ensuring alignment with Endolith’s strategic objectives.

Possible Additional Projects Bioinformatics Pipeline Expansion

  • Objective: Expand and streamline bioinformatics data processing pipelines for improved scalability and support of diverse sequencing technologies.
  • Ensure seamless integration of metadata and genomic data from various sources.
  • Improve automation and modularity of bioinformatics workflows.

Integration of Physical Data from SCADA System

  • Objective: Integrate data from pumps, thermocouples, air flow meters, and other instruments for lab tests into our SQL backend for comprehensive data analysis.
  • Interface with PLC/SCADA systems to pull real-time data.
  • Design a scalable system to accommodate future data inputs.

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in React, AWS RDS, and database architecture.
  • Experience with API design and real-time data integration.
  • Strong background in developing scalable data solutions and bioinformatics tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on innovation and operational resilience.

  • Community Tracking System for Bio-Samples – 6–8 weeks
  • Database Enhancements for Project Unicorn – 6–8 weeks
  • Operational Bioreactor Data Systems – 4–6 weeks
  • Duration: Scope to be finalized during the first 10–14 days of engagement.
