We are a rapidly growing organization with clients from Fortune 500 companies to leading Silicon Valley tech startups, and we're looking to bring on a Web Development Director to help us propel our growth.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor the web development team, aligning their work with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the design, development, and upkeep of websites, ensuring they’re responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, marketing, and design teams to translate business goals into effective web strategies that drive revenue growth and support profit margins.
  • Set coding standards and ensure best practices are followed, maintaining the security, scalability, and reliability of web properties.
  • Keep the team up-to-date with the latest web technologies and trends, driving innovation within the department.
  • Regularly review website performance, making data-driven decisions to improve user experience, conversion rates, and overall revenue impact.
  • Manage the web development budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources, and monitor project costs to support profitability and maintain healthy profit margins.
  • Analyze the financial impact of web projects, ensuring that they contribute positively to the company’s revenue and profit goals.
  • Adapting to the role as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience managing a team.
  • An all-star in web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Strong understanding of web standards, SEO principles, and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with the following platforms: WordPress, Shopify, WebFlow, and Figma
