Essentials of 3D Animation - 12 weeks

‍

Starting by learning the basics of 3D animation, then dive head-first into animation software Maya where you'll learn how to create believable animation using the classic principles of animation. You'll put theories into practice, giving you a better understanding of body mechanics and locomotion.

*This program is equivalent to the first term of the 3D Animation Foundations course. If you continue your learning journey, you'll be eligible to join the Foundations course from Term 2 onwards.

• Animate from scratch using the 12 principles of animation
• Set up professional workflows using Autodesk Maya
• Create progressively more complex animation pieces  
• Work with character rigs to create animation cycles

This short course is equivalent to term one of the Foundations course. On completion of the Essentials course, if you decide to progress further with your studies, you'll enroll straight into term two of the corresponding Foundations course which means you'll already be one-third of the way through your studies! Continue your learning journey towards an exciting career in the industry by enrolling into the Foundations Career Track.
